Life Legacy
Gursharn Singh Rai passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the age of 59 years, with his wife Balbir by his side.
He was born in India in 1952, and moved to Canada in 1983 where he enjoyed his career with GM in Prince Rupert, BC. After moving to Calgary, he began working with Ford, and later drove for Blacktop. Gursharn loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is sadly missed by his loving wife Balbir; son and daughter-in-law Hardeep and Ranjeet; daughter Manpreet; granddaughters Cassandra and Jasmine Rai; grandson Deven Rai; brothers Balbir (Santosh) and Jagtar (Manjit); sisters Jasvir Bajwa (Surjit) and Kamaljit Shergill (Kundan); and many other relatives and friends all across the globe.
Funeral Services were held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, May 19 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
