Aisiipyaboh-Night Traveller

May 2, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Christopher “Aisiipyaboh-Night Traveller” Bull Bear of Siksika Nation, AB, beloved father of Starla and Shyla Hudson, Myla, Amyrah, and Kalila Bull Bear-Atwell, Sequoia, Naomi, and Odessa De Caire-Bull Bear, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the age of 43 years, to be with our Creator-Apistotoki.

Chris was born and raised in Calgary, AB. He loved to be with his children and spend quality time with them; he also enjoyed playing basketball and working out at local gyms. Chris had a big heart; he often helped others and even did some street church, where he prepared and fed frybread to over 300 community members without shelter. Chris also spent time with his siblings, nieces, and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Chris had a beautiful, caring soul, and the people closest to him can attest to this. He fought his own addictions and always worked towards bettering himself, as his daughters were his joy and his world. Chris truly respected the mothers of his children, Leah, Stephanie, and Late Francis, for all the beautiful girls they gifted him.

Chris was the loving son of Sherry Bull Bear and Fabian Yellow Old Woman, grandson of Rachel Ermineskin, and is survived by his sisters, Annette (Harry) Sanghera and Danielle (John) Bull Bear; aunts, Cherylene (Dion) Red Gun, Wanda Bull Bear, Stacey (Merlon) Stevens, Darlene (Cody) Yellow Old Woman-Munro, Karen Ayoungman, Marcia (Allan) Big Snake; uncles, Quinton Bull Bear, Adrian (Georgia) Yellow Old Woman, Trent Yellow Old Woman, John (Marie) Yellow Old Woman, and Joe (Shannon) Yellow Old Woman.

He is also survived by extended family of the Bull Bear, Cutter, Running Bird, Rabbit Carrier, Scalplock, Fox, Wolf Leg, Eagle Tail, One Spot, and Red Gun families.

Chris was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Lorraine and Wallace Stevens, Bonnie Wolf Leg; great-grandparents Harry and Irene Bull Bear; paternal grandfather John Yellow Old Woman Sr., brother Benjamin Bull Bear, aunts, Liza Yellow Old Woman, Mavis (Alex) Crow Child; uncle Kirby Yellow Old Woman, cousins Dion (DJ) Bull Bear, Shawna Lee Bull Bear, Kassy Yellow Old Woman; as well as numerous extended relations.
